What each launch stage usually looks like
Every engagement is scoped in writing, so the figures below are a guide to where each service usually sits, not a quote.
- Launch plan and market check: a project at the lower end of the project range. The cost depends on how many buyer conversations are needed and how hard your buyers are to reach.
- Pre-launch setup roadmap: often a small project, or a few hours of consulting if your company is simple and you just need the sequence checked.
- Launch website and Google listing: a project whose size depends on the number of pages, languages and how much copy you write yourself.
- Opening campaign: usually a monthly retainer for the 100 days, with ad spend paid separately by you.
What drives the cost
Five things move the price more than anything else:
- How much is already done. A founder with a tested offer and an approved name needs less than one starting from an idea.
- Business model. A B2B launch with a target list of 40 companies is different work from a café that needs local search and foot traffic.
- Languages. Launch materials in a second language, for a market check that shows they are needed, add translation and review time.
- Who does the work. If you want to run the campaign yourself with coaching, an hourly or small retainer arrangement costs less than full management.
- Pace. A fixed opening date three weeks away compresses the schedule and may raise the cost.
A worked budget for a typical launch
Take a founder opening a home-based bookkeeping practice who has a tested offer. They might buy a setup roadmap check at hourly rates, then a small launch website project, then run their own marketing with a few coaching hours. Their total could sit near the bottom of our range.
A founder opening a Town Centre storefront with no tested offer is different. They might need a market check project, a larger website project and a three-month retainer for the opening campaign, plus their own ad spend. Before committing, use the launch budget guide to work out what a customer is worth to you, so you know what the marketing has to return.
How to choose
- Not sure the idea works? Start with the market check and stop if the answer is no.
- Sure of the idea, unsure of the steps? Take the roadmap, or a couple of hours of consulting.
- Ready to open? Combine the website project with a short campaign retainer.
- Already trading with a proven offer? Ask about the Growth Partner Program, or talk to our sister service for established companies.
Terms beyond what is listed here, such as notice periods, are set out in writing in your proposal. To start, use the contact page, or read the FAQ for the questions founders usually ask about cost.
Frequently asked questions
Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. The initial 30-minute consultation is free and carries no obligation. It is meant to tell you whether you need us at all, and if so, which stage to start with.
Do you charge GST?
Yes. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and Burnaby founders add 5% GST.
Is ad spend part of the price?
No. Advertising is paid directly to the platform from your own account. Our fee covers planning and management, and the exact terms are confirmed in writing in your proposal.
Can I pay in stages?
Projects are paid in milestones. The schedule is set out in the proposal before any work starts.
What is the Growth Partner Program?
It is a performance-based partnership in which Ali invests time upfront and is paid on measurable results. Partnerships are limited and suit companies with a proven offer, so most brand-new companies start with a project instead.
